MasterLine Purity is a regenerable chemical filtration media that absorbs fine dissolved organic compounds directly from aquarium water — the invisible particles that cause yellow tint, odor, and algae-feeding nutrients that mechanical and biological filtration alone can't remove.

What does MasterLine Purity do?

  • Absorbs dissolved organic matter (DOC) before it breaks down into ammonia and nitrite
  • Clears yellow-tinted water and removes odors caused by decaying waste, food, or plant matter
  • Increases dissolved oxygen concentration and intensifies the pearling effect on aquarium plants
  • Slows algae formation by reducing the organic nutrient load in the water column
  • Fully regenerable — reusable multiple times instead of being discarded after one cycle

How to use MasterLine Purity

Rinse the granulate under running water, place it in a fine filter media bag (pairs perfectly with the MasterLine Zip Bag), and position it in your canister, sump, or hang-on filter. Dosage: 100 ml of Purity per 100 liters of aquarium water as a baseline for infrequent regeneration cycles.

How to regenerate MasterLine Purity

  1. Regenerate every 2–3 months, or sooner if the granulate turns visibly brown/dark
  2. Soak the media bag in a 5% bleach solution — use double the volume of bleach to media (e.g. 500 ml bleach for 250 ml Purity)
  3. Leave for 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes
  4. Rinse thoroughly, then soak for 24 hours in water with 50 ml dechlorinator
  5. Repeat dechlorination until no bleach smell remains before returning it to the filter
