ZISS Egg Tumbler — Air-Driven Fish & Shrimp Egg Incubator

The ZISS Egg Tumbler is a patented incubator that replicates a McDonald hatching jar, but is designed to sit inside your display or breeding tank instead of a separate jar setup. An adjustable air pump drives a gentle circular water flow that keeps eggs suspended and turning, preventing fungus and mechanical damage while eggs develop.

Choosing your size: E55 vs 55 vs 65 vs 80

All four tumblers share the same working principle — the difference is internal diameter and chamber height, which determines how many eggs fit and how gently they're tumbled:

  • ZET-E55 — 55 mm diameter, half-height chamber (≈200 ml). The compact option, ideal for small egg batches from corydoras, smaller cichlids or shrimp.
  • ZET-55 — 55 mm diameter, full-height chamber. More capacity than the E55 for the same gentle flow.
  • ZET-65 — 65 mm diameter. Mid-size, suited to larger cichlid and discus spawns.
  • ZET-80 — 80 mm diameter, the largest. Best for high-volume spawns or bigger eggs.

How it works

An air pump (sold separately) drives water through the tumbler's chamber via an included, cleanable air stone. The resulting soft, circular current keeps non-adhesive eggs (e.g. African cichlids) tumbling gently, or provides steady oxygenated flow around adhesive eggs (e.g. plecos, corydoras) without disturbing them. The self-standing legs allow free placement inside the tank without extra brackets, and suction cups are included for wall mounting.
