Description

The Me CO2 Regulator Ultra is a double-chamber CO2 pressure regulator with an integrated solenoid valve, two pressure gauges and a bubble counter with check valve, made for refillable CO2 bottles with a W21.8 thread.

Single-chamber regulators often let the working pressure creep up as a bottle runs low, which can dump CO2 into the tank at the end of a cylinder. The double-chamber design of the Ultra keeps the output steady from a full bottle to an empty one, so the bubble rate you set is the bubble rate you keep.

How to set it up

  1. Screw the regulator onto a refillable CO2 bottle with a W21.8 valve.
  2. Connect CO2-resistant tubing from the bubble counter to your diffuser.
  3. Open the bottle and set the working pressure on the regulator.
  4. Plug the solenoid into a timer so CO2 starts about 1–2 hours before the lights and stops about 1 hour before they switch off.
  5. Fine-tune the bubble rate over a few days and watch a drop checker until it shows green.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with disposable CO2 cartridges?
No. The Ultra has a W21.8 connection for refillable bottles. Disposable cartridges use a different thread.

Is a CO2 bottle included?
No. Pair it with the Me CO2 Refillable Bottle 2000 g.

Can I run two aquariums from one regulator?
Yes. Add the Me CO2 Extender Ultra to supply two diffusers from one bottle.

How do I know the CO2 level is right?
Use a drop checker such as the Me CO2 Check Glass. Green means you are in the target range.
