Ziss ZB150F Moving Bed Filter

The Ziss ZB150F is an air-driven internal filter that focuses on biological filtration. Inside, floating bio media are kept in constant motion by gentle airflow. This “moving bed” action maximizes contact between water, oxygen, and beneficial bacteria, helping to convert toxic ammonia and nitrite into less harmful nitrate.

Because it runs on air (no motor), the ZB150F operates quietly and requires minimal maintenance. There are no impellers to clog, and the protective design makes it safe for shrimp and small fish. It’s ideal as a main bio filter in small to medium tanks or as a supplementary bio stage in planted and breeding setups.

Use with a reliable air pump and standard airline tubing. For best results, adjust the airflow so the media tumble continuously without being blasted upwards. Rinse media in tank water when needed; avoid washing with tap water to preserve bacteria.
