Description
Description
2Hr Aquarist APT Pure – Water Conditioner
APT Pure is a 360° water conditioner that handles chlorine, chloramines, heavy metals, and nitrogen compounds in one super-concentrated dose. It's built to take tap water — with whatever it happens to be carrying that week — and make it safe for fish, shrimp, and the beneficial bacteria your filter depends on.
What Makes APT Pure Different
Most conditioners handle chlorine and chloramines and stop there. APT Pure also detoxifies heavy metals such as copper leaching from old pipes, and neutralizes ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates — useful not just for routine water changes but for genuine emergencies like ammonia spikes. It's formulated with aloe vera extract, which helps reduce stress on fish during water changes and transport.
The concentration is high enough that a little goes a very long way: 1 ml treats 60 litres of water at the standard dose, and a 300 ml bottle (with pump) treats over 18,000 litres over its lifetime.
Key Benefits
- Neutralizes chlorine, chloramines, heavy metals, ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates in one dose
- Highly concentrated — 1 ml treats 60 litres

- Safe for shrimp, sensitive fish, and beneficial filter bacteria

Who Should Use APT Pure
- Anyone doing regular water changes with tap water
- Areas where tap water may carry heavy metals from old plumbing
- Tanks experiencing ammonia spikes — new tank syndrome, overfeeding, overstocking
- Transporting or acclimating new fish, shrimp, or plants
Dosing Instructions
- Standard dose: 1 ml per 60 litres of new water, added before or during a water change
- Emergency dose: up to 5 ml per 60 litres for rapid detoxification of elevated ammonia
- A 300 ml bottle (with the included pump) lasts through roughly 18,000 litres of treated water
Expert Tip
Don't save APT Pure only for water changes — keep a bottle within reach for emergencies. If you spot fish gasping at the surface or acting unusually lethargic after overfeeding or a filter mishap, an emergency dose can buy you time to test and fix the underlying ammonia spike before it turns serious.
