Detailed product description

APT 1 – All-in-One Liquid Fertilizer | No Nitrates, No Phosphates

APT 1 is a precision-formulated liquid fertilizer designed for aquariums where fish outnumber plants — and for new tanks in their first 1 to 3 months running on aquasoil. In these setups, nitrates and phosphates are already abundant through fish waste and the substrate itself. Adding more only fuels algae. APT 1 gives your plants everything else they need to thrive: potassium, magnesium, iron, and a full suite of chelated trace elements (B, Cu, Mn, Mo, Zn) — without the nutrients that cause problems.

The formula mirrors the complete micronutrient profile of APT 3, the flagship fertilizer in the series, but with the NPK adjusted to zero nitrogen and zero phosphorus. The result is maximum algae control paired with healthy, consistent plant growth.

3× More Concentrated. Up to 50× More Bioavailable.

APT 1 is three times more concentrated than conventional liquid fertilizers based on total soluble elements per ml. Its chelated compounds remain bioavailable across a wide pH range, meaning your plants absorb what you dose — not what gets locked out.

Who is APT 1 for?

APT 1 is the right choice when your aquarium has more fish than plants, when you're running a new tank with aquasoil in the first 1–3 months, when you keep a low-tech setup without CO₂ injection, or when your tank has a history of algae problems caused by excess nutrients. If any of these describe your tank, APT 1 is your fertilizer.

How It Works

Fish waste and aquasoil continuously release nitrogen and phosphorus into the water column. In most fish-heavy tanks, these nutrients are already in surplus. APT 1 steps in to supply what's genuinely missing — potassium, magnesium, iron, and trace elements — without pushing nutrient levels past the point where algae take over.

Dosing

3 ml per 100 L daily. Recommended water change: 30% weekly. A 300 ml bottle with pump lasts approximately 3 months for a 115 L aquarium.

Guaranteed Analysis

NPK 0-0-7 (+1.4) | Soluble Potash (K₂O): 7% | Magnesium oxide (MgO): 1.4% | Iron (Fe, chelated EDTA/DTPA/EDDHA): 0.09% | Trace elements: B, Cu, Mn, Mo, Zn

Safe for shrimp and sensitive fish at recommended dosage.

When to Switch to APT 3

After the first 3 months in a new aquarium, or once plants outnumber fish, transition to APT 3 — the full NPK formula in the series. If you run a high-tech or Dutch-style tank on the Estimative Index method, APT Complete is your next step.
