Algae can appear even in well-maintained tanks — after a filter blockage, a CO2 interruption, or a shift in lighting. The real problem starts when you have mosses, Riccia, Riccardia, Vallisneria, or other sensitive plants in the tank. Standard algaecides are off the table: they're too aggressive and will damage exactly the plants you've worked hardest to grow.
APT FIX Lite was built for this situation. Its formula is based on carboxylic acids (2.5%) that work selectively — disrupting the cellular processes of algae while leaving higher plants unaffected, thanks to their thicker cuticle layer.
The product fully biodegrades within 12–24 hours. It doesn't accumulate in the aquarium and is safe for shrimp, fish, and beneficial bacteria at recommended dosages.
Dose 1 ml per 10 litres daily, directly on the affected areas — the bottle comes with a precision pipette for spot dosing. Results are typically visible within a few days.
