Detailed product description

Hikari Algae Wafers are specially developed sinking discs formulated for plecostomus (Plecos) and other plant-eating bottom-dwelling fish. Recognized as the number one choice for pleco care worldwide, this food was created to solve the specific feeding challenges of these species.

Its unique disc shape perfectly fits the mouth structure of plecos, encouraging natural feeding behavior by scraping. Each wafer is packed with high-quality spirulina, essential plant-based nutrients, and stabilized vitamin C to promote strong immunity, vibrant coloration, and balanced nutrition.

The wafers are highly water-stable, resist disintegration, and do not cloud the water, making them safe for use in community tanks. They can be broken into smaller pieces for young or smaller fish.

Feeding tip: Feed only as much as fish will consume within 2 hours. Some species may take time to accept a new food type – gradual introduction is recommended.
